Kristin Wells is an Environmental Epidemiologist in the Department of Public Health Sciences and serves as the scholarship coordinator for the Generalist Scholar’s Program in the School of Medicine. She received her M.P.H. in Environmental and Occupational Health from Emory University and her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Research FocusDr. Wells’ research interests include the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for estimating historic and current environmental exposures, spatial modeling of disease, and multivariate modeling techniques.
Teaching FocusDr. Wells teaches Epidemiology and World Health (GNUR 6052) in the School of Nursing during the spring, summer and fall semesters. She also teaches Environmental Health: Epidemiologic Perspectives (PHS 7385) and Epidemiologic and Translational Research (PHS 7020) in the Department of Public Health Sciences in the School of Medicine.
