Biography

Carol Lynn Maxwell-Thompson graduated from West Virginia University School of Nursing in 1972. After attending Villanova University, she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 1984. She completed the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program in 2000 and has volunteered as an FNP at the Charlottesville Free Clinic since 2000. She is currently employed at the CVS Minute Clinic as an FNP.

She is Faculty with the American Heart Association (AHA) and certified UVA Nursing students as AHA BLS CPR Instructors. She is faculty advisor for the statewide Virginia Nursing Student Association (VNSA) as well as the local chapter, Student Nurses Association of Virginia.
