Julia Foster Hill, DNP, RN, FNP-BC

Julia Hill, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at UVA Health University Medical Center before returning to school to become a family nurse practitioner. With a BSN from the University of Virginia, she later completed the BSN to DNP program at Rush University in Chicago. Her DNP project focused on a team-based approach to increase rates of colorectal cancer screening for adults with serious mental illness at a Federally-Qualified Health Center in Chicago.

 

As a primary care clinician, she has worked across a variety of practice settings, including at a community health clinic, an integrated psychiatric and primary care site, and in urgent care.  She teaches both undergraduate and graduate nursing students while practicing part-time at UVA’s Same Day Clinic in the Department of Internal Medicine.
