Ryan Darensbourg

Biography

Prior to his appointment at UVA, Darensbourg was a student success specialist at Austin Peay State University where he advised undergraduates across a variety of disciplines, including students who were transferring into nursing. He earned a BA and an MS in college student personnel from Western Illinois University.

At UVA, he will advise undergraduate students who enter the BSN program directly from high school, and, with senior assistant dean for student support Theresa Carroll, will co-lead a first-year seminar class.

Prior to his career in higher education, he worked as an opera singer, performing as part of Ash Lawn Highland's Opera Festival.
