While studying nursing at UVA, Alianna Kyle pursued her interest in working as an emergency medical technician, which led to her becoming a volunteer firefighter. She’ll join the U.S. Air Force as a second lieutenant after graduation, and she hopes to pursue a career in psychiatric medicine, working with veterans who have experienced trauma.
