Alumni Council of the School of Nursing Alumni Association
The Alumni Council is the leadership body of the Nursing Alumni Association. Council members serve three-year terms and help determine the direction and activities of the Nursing Alumni Association.

Council Operations and Activities
The Council operates according to these Alumni Association Bylaws.
The Alumni Council also has a number of standing, working committees that seek volunteers for short and long-term commitments:
- Alumni Engagement Committee – provides ideas and support for activities to keep alumni engaged, including the oversight committee for ‘Hoos Coming to Dinner.
- Awards Committee – reviews nominations and selects recipients for the Alumni Achievement, the Distinguished Alumni, and the Decade Awards, as well as several recognition awards for excellence and leadership.
- Finance Committee – represents the concerns of alumni and donors by making recommendations to the full Council each year on how a portion of the Nursing Annual Fund should be allotted.
- Scholarships Committee – reviews applications and selects recipients for a number of merit scholarships funded through the Nursing Annual Fund.
