Improving the reproductive health outcomes for persons with disability

Our current research study — Understanding stressful experiences in pregnancy and parenting and their influence on reproductive health among persons with disability — is a 5-year study funded by the National Institutes of Health. Our study aims to improve the way in which health care professionals assess and intervene in mental health and experiences of violence during pregnancy among persons with disability. Ultimately, we aspire to eliminate inequities in reproductive health outcomes experienced by persons with disability.
