Biography
Joe Nasevich joined the School of Nursing in 2014 as the school's webmaster.
Joe earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. He earned a Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology (MS MIT) from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce.
Joe earned his Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) in April 2021. He earned a graduate certificate in Cyber Security Management from the University of Virginia in April 2020. He earned his Decisions Fundamental Developer certification in April 2020.
Joe served ten years as an officer in the United States Air Force. After resigning his commission, Joe worked for several years as a software consultant. He later joined Sperry Marine (now Northrop Grumman), where he developed navigation systems for commercial and military vessels. Joe left Northrop Grumman in 2011 and founded his own business, Whispering Woods Web Design. Joe also taught web design as an adjunct faculty member at Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC), and he taught WordPress seminars for PVCC's Workforce Services.
When he isn't glued to his computer screen, Joe enjoys biking, kayaking, ice hockey, skiing, and spending time with his wife, Emily, and his two children, Tasha (COL' 13) and Michael (BSN '17).
