Biography

Todd first worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2011-2012 at the University of Virginia School of Nursing where he was a clinical instructor with graduate students.  He has served in an adjunct faculty role, teaching graduate nursing students, since the fall of 2012. He is also a current student in the PhD program.

Research Focus

Explain the relationship between moral distress of health care providers and health care provider perception of the quality of the death and dying experience in the critical care environment, between patients who have aggressive care withdrawn and those who do not.

Clinical Focus

Critical care of adults with both acute and chronic illness/injury.

Teaching Focus

Focus on advanced health assessment and patient management skills promoting inter-professional collaboration among nurses, physicians and advanced practice nurses taking care of acute and critically ill patients.
