October 23, 2018
McLeod Hall #5060
Dr. Hehman gives voice to the men and women who offered ailing immigrants comfort and compassion during their first experience in the United States. Her research explores the role of nurses caring for a vulnerable population within the context of transformational scientific discoveries, the aftermath of the Industrial Revolution, and increasing sociocultural tension related to stereotypes about the inferiority of certain races.
