March 8, 5-7 PM, McLeod Hall
This two-hour evening symposium will provide participants with a better sense of the range of opioids, prescription procedures for patients with a history of substance abuse, guidelines for best practices and a glimpse into the pain mechanisms themselves. Alternative medications will also be highlighted. This program meets Virginia's requirements for opioid training.
Join a phalanx of UVA clinicians - Tim Short, MD, Margaret Barclay, ACNP, Julio Silvestre, MD, Robin Hamill-Ruth, MD and Robert Goldstein, MD - for this critical discussion.
