Overview:
This symposium highlights current trends, issues, and newly emerging therapies for the care of individuals diagnosed with heart failure. The team of professionals providing care to individuals with heart failure will extend their knowledge in order to improve care delivery and outcomes for this population in both specialized settings as well as across the continuum of care.
Target Audience:
Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants, Physicians, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Nutritionists, and members of the health care team caring for individuals with heart failure.
Desired Outcomes:
At the end of this symposium, participants will be able to:
- Articulate current 2022 guidelines for treatments of patients with heart failure
- Describe characteristics of right heart catheterization as it relates to heart failure and pulmonary hypertension
- Identify the unique characteristics, diagnosis, and treatments of specific cardiomyopathy populations
