Winter Holiday - School Closed

For faculty and staff, in light of all you have done for our community this year, I’m pleased to announce that we will begin our winter break early. The Academic Division will be closed beginning on Dec. 22 to offer faculty and staff more time to rest, recover, and prepare for the upcoming spring semester. This means an additional two days off for winter break. Staff who are required to work during this period will be eligible for additional compensatory time that can be used at a later date; more information will be forthcoming from Human Resources. We will resume normal operations on Jan. 2, 2023. UVA Health will continue to work in accordance with the Clinical Holiday Schedule. I’m incredibly grateful for all you have done to support our students, even as you are grieving yourselves. From opening your homes and offices, to accommodating academic policy changes and students’ needs, to organizing the Memorial Service at JPJ, you have individually and collectively gone above and beyond to support this community over these past few weeks.
