The UVA School of Nursing continues to support a philosophy of sustained cultural engagement with long-term global partners, currently remotely. Long-term partners at the Bluefields Indian and Caribbean University (BICU) School of Nursing located on the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, are collaborating on efforts to build community resilience against the immediate health impacts of climate change, both in Nicaragua and here in Virginia. Join us virtually to showcase one of these initiatives: student-driven case-studies from BICU nursing students and from our 4th year NUCO 4210 course, and a presentation on the immediate impacts of climate change in Nicaragua from long-term colleague Joel Campbell (from the CEDEHCA human rights organization)! Pre-registration is required, and this session will be recorded and archived on the School of Nursing Global Initiatives page.
