Library Resources for Clinical Faculty and Preceptors
Clinical Faculty and Preceptors enjoy privileges at the University of Virginia Libraries. Remote access to certain online resources, such as the MEDLINE (Ovid) databases, is restricted to access via a Proxy Server connection
Proxy Server Accounts:
1. Create an account: To create a Proxy Server account, or to create a new Proxy Server password, click here. If you receive an error while attempting to create a Proxy Server account or while creating a new password, contact the ITC Accounts office for assistance: accounts@Virginia.EDU or (434) 243-6610, -6612.
2. Configure your Web browser: For instructions on configuring a Web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator to use your Proxy Server account, click here. If you require assistance with configuring your Web browser, or if you are encountering difficulties in getting the Proxy Server setup to work, contact the ITC Help Desk for assistance: consult@Virginia.EDU or (434) 924-3731.
3. Test your setup: To test your Web browser to see if it is properly configured for the Proxy Server, click here.
