Faculty Research Mentor Award

History and Purpose - The School of Nursing Alumni Association began funding this award in 2006-07 with proceeds from the Nursing Annual Fund. The purpose of the Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award is to recognize and reward the extra efforts made by faculty to support the development of junior faculty researchers.

Eligibility - The recipient of the faculty mentor award will be chosen by the tenure-track, junior faculty. Nominations and /or feedback may be solicited from other faculty if desired.

Application - The member of the research committee who fills the criteria of being a tenure-tract, junior faculty will be responsible for organizing the tenure tract, junior faculty to make the selection and for providing the name of the recipient and a paragraph describing the contribution of this individual that can be used with announcing the award.

Application Deadline - The name of the award recipient and the paragraph should be emailed to the Associate Dean for Research by April 15, 2008.

Funding Availability - $1,000 in 2007-08
