I am an associate professor at the University of Virginia School of Nursing and have received three degrees from UVA School of Nursing (BSN, MSN, and PhD) and a post-master's certificate (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). I like to hike and create paintings.

Dr. Randy Jones -- an associate professor -- graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1998 with a BS in biology and entered UVA as a second-degree student where he earned his BSN, MSN, a post-master's as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a PhD in nursing, making him a triple `Hoo.

A Roberts Scholar and director of the School's BSN program, Dr. Jones currently teaches both undergraduate and graduate nursing students. His research interest is in prostate cancer, health disparities, and the processes behind treatment decision-making. Dr. Jones has received both internal and external funding for his work, including a recent NIH/NCI R21 grant that focuses on advanced prostate cancer and treatment decision-making.
