Nursing Alumni Association Funding

Each spring, the Nursing Alumni Council submits a budget proposal for the following fiscal year to the dean of the School of Nursing. The dean allocates monies from the Nursing Annual Fund to support projects and priorities identified and proposed by the Alumni Council.

The Alumni Council accepts funding proposals from faculty and nursing student organizations on an annual basis for consideration in the next funding cycle. Examples of previously funded proposals are in the current budget.

Funding proposals to be awarded in the FY 2008-09 cycle (July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009) must be received by March 12, 2008.

Departments and organizations that received funds in the previous fiscal year must apply each year if they wish to be considered for continuing funding. Such requests should be accompanied by a detailed report on the use of the funds given the previous fiscal year. All departments and organizations that receive funding from the School of Nursing Alumni Association are required to submit a report on the use of the funds they receive.

Student groups are encouraged to apply, but need a faculty sponsor endorse the proposal.

Proposals should be as specific as possible, and should include the amount requested, the proposed use/distribution of the funds, and a justification for funding. Additional funding guidelines are available.

Mail or deliver your proposals with justification to be received by March 12, 2008 to:
