‘Hoos Coming to Dinner - A New Virginia Tradition

‘Hoos Coming to Dinner personalizes the shared UVa nursing experience. Alumni organize small dinner parties with fellow graduates, coming together in a friendly environment for good food, conversation, and Wahoo camaraderie. If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved with the school and meet nursing alumni in your area, this is the event for you!

- Connecticut: Greenwich

The 2008 ‘Hoos Coming to Dinner will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2008.
The beauty of ‘Hoos Coming to Dinner is that on the same night at approximately the same time, in cities all across the nation, UVa nursing alumni will be breaking bread together while sharing memories and experiences of their days on Grounds and beyond.
We’re looking for hosts - and guests - for parties to make this year’s event an even bigger success!
All hosts and co-hosts are welcome, whether to arrange a casual buffet, a family-friendly potluck picnic or barbecue in your backyard, a formal catered affair, or a gathering at a local, favorite "joint" Don’t let the size of your dining room table limit you, or whether or not you even have a dining room!
Hosts and co-hosts incur any expenses associated with the event, and agree to extend invitations until up to twelve people accept (the exact size of each party is left to the discretion of the host, but the goal is to arrange fairly intimate parties). Co-hosts might share the expense, help make invitations, bring some food, or help with other necessary arrangements. After you sign up, we will provide instructions on how to proceed.
'Hoos Coming to Dinner is managed by the Alumni and Development Office in collaboration with the School of Nursing Alumni Association. The event is guided by the 'Hoos Coming to Dinner Committee.
